Cash knows that Hall should have never been Chief Academic Officer. The man has NEVER taught in a classroom. He got that job thru Johnson and Cash knows that he is not capable or competent enough to run the academics dept. HAll needs to go int the classroom and get some teaching experience.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12509286.post-49454603862993361722008-07-18T09:17:00.000-05:002008-07-18T09:17:00.000-05:00Who is Millenium Group and what Memphis politician...Who is Millenium Group and what Memphis politician is connected to them?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12509286.post-40976815663778007232008-07-18T07:35:00.000-05:002008-07-18T07:35:00.000-05:00Can Alfred Hall actually make a decision? Your "team mates" will supply the gallows.
There are a lot of workers at MCS, an employee bloated enterprize for sure. The only people that need to be let go are those who will not play for the same goal willingly. That might be everybody so that's risky. What do you do in the face of statistically proven failure to produce positive results over a protracted period of time and an employee bloated dministration?
You train them and you train them in things they have never even heard of, you change the contexts they operate in, you hire the finest company on earth to do it for a decent price. Once you develope an MCS that is distinctly different than the one you have today, you begin the work of transforming the entire system. The recalcitrant bureaucrats will co-opt language, and feign conversion, that's why you hire someone from far away with some serious mojo in their training that no one can subvert. Training that can turn a hardened criminal around. IT EXISTS.

MCS administration would like to blame the parents and has, but, they hide crucial data from the parents and ensure that there is never any communication to the parents of failing kids so the ultimate culpability though unacknowledged falls directly on the administration.
The administration have undermined the parents abilty to do anything about failure. They are the enemy, made so by their own policies
My own son, state certiufied in AR for GT classes (clue equivalent), was not tested for two years after we moved here due to malfeasance, last year, he suddenly made an F in math, conference with principal revealed that the teacher had no passing math students, this, in a "desirable" school.
You are dead on about the student's perception of themselves and about the police department, however, if you took a tour of quite a few "at risk" schools in certain neighborhoods, you might change your mind, they are too far gone.
That said, once the training begins this will all be no more than a sad tale that we no longer live in a year's time. We will begin experiencing excellence on a national standard and begin recieveing international acclaim.
The kids are smart, they've had their creativity stolen, but, they'll pick it up and excell. We need to feed them good stuff from good teachers, as you said, and keep the baddies away from them, as if we care about them for real.
Don't worry, you're about to see something you could never have predicted and never believed could happen. It's going to look like a miracle. We'll go from 5 or so schools you would call desirable and 125 you would avoid like the plague, to 130 or so excellent schools.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
